Ryan Royall, a promising high school basketball player, was shot to death in Illinois. Ryan Royall was attending a birthday party Lynwood when gunfire broke out.
Royall attended the birthday party at a local community center. After leaving the venue, Royal and friends saw a fight break out, then heard gunfire.
An autopsy on Monday, June 6, 2011, determined Royall's death was a homicide.
Royall had just finished his junior year at Hillcrest High School. He was considered an excellent high school basketball player, who had drawn the attention of college scouts.
